Middleweight contender Miguel Espino, from North Hollywood CA, defends his WBC CABOFE title when he climbs back in the ring at the Double Tree Hotel in Bakersfield CA, September 21 2007, against an opponent TBA.
Espino, who is riding a 7 fight winning streak, is looking for big fights against the top middleweight contenders as his quest for a world title shot grows near.
"I feel I'm ready for the elite level in the middleweight division which I do believe is wide open," said Espino. "Jermain Taylor and Kelly Pavlik sit at the top right now, but I'm creeping up on them. I would love to take a fight with Raymond Joval as a step up. He's a durable veteran with a lot of skills but I believe I can defeat him convincingly. My hunger to be a world champion grows every day."
The bout is promoted by Cota Boxing Promotions. Tickets, priced at $50 (ringside) $35 (general), can be purchased by calling (818) 274-7129.
