Richard Schaefer, CEO of Golden Boy Promotions and Sean Sullivan, General Manager of Morongo Casino Resort & Spa will meet with the media today to announce their new endeavor to bring boxing events to the Inland Empire of California.
The first fight, which features WBO World Super Bantamweight Champion Daniel Ponce De Leon, 32-1 (29), will take place on September 28 at Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in Cabazon, CA.
27 year old southpaw Ponce De Leon is coming off a devastating first round KO victory over Rey Bautista earlier this month and could face hard punching former WBC Super Flyweight title challenger Reynaldo Lopez on September 28.
