Polish prospect Andrzej Fonfara returns to the ring on Friday, September 14 at Chicago’s Congress Theatre, it was announced today by Dominic Pesoli, President of 8 Count Productions.
Fonfara’s six round bout will be part of "Pride", another outstanding evening of world class professional boxing presented by Chicago’s 8 Count Productions and Bob Arum's Top Rank Inc. along with TCF Bank, Tecate Beer and Aero Mexico.
The 19 year old Fonfara, 6-1 (2KO’s) is coming off a dominating third round knockout of Joshua Rodriguez on July 13 at the Congress Theatre. More information on this six round bout will be announced shortly.
Said Pesoli, “We just signed Fonfara and we’re very happy to bring him back in front of our fans. His performance against Rodriguez was his best to date and we’re looking forward to continued terrific performances from him.
Also featured at "Pride" is a terrific Mexican/Puerto Rican showdown between Chicago based super bantamweights Francisco “El Nino Azteca” Rodriguez, representing Mexico and Ivan “The Baby Faced Assassin” Rodriguez who will proudly represent Puerto Rico.
