By Boxing Press September 14th, 2007 All Press Releases

Two time world title challenger Orlando Salido of Ciudad Orbegon, Sonora, Mexico has been added to the "Pride" Bill at Chicago’s Congress Theatre this Friday night, September 14. Salido, 27-9 (18KO’s) will face veteran Marty Robbins in an eight round super featherweight bout.

Salido is coming off a twelve round battle with Robert Guerrero last November in Las Vegas. His ten year career includes wins over notables Rogers Mtagwa, Cesar Soto, Radford Beasley and Lamont Pearson.

Said Dominic Pesoli, President of 8 Count Productions, “We’re thrilled to add this bout to our huge card. Salido is a terrific fighter and it’s a real treat for Chicago fight fans to have the opportunity to see him.”

The "Pride" event celebrates Mexican Independence Day and features terrific Mexican vs. Puerto Rican battles in both of the televised main and co main event bouts amongst its world class bouts.

In the main event, Solo Boexo staple Fernando Trejo, 29-12 (18KO’s) of Mexico City faces off against Juan Ramon Cruz, 15-3-1 (11KO’s) of San Juan, Puerto Rico in a ten round lightweight battle.

The co-main event features Chicago based fighters as Francisco Rodriguez, 9-1 (6KO’s) of Guadalajara, Mexico squares off against Puerto Rican Ivan Rodriguez, 8-3-1 (3KO’s) in an eight round super bantamweight bout for the Illinois State Title.

The full fight card is as follows;
