Promoter Frank Maloney stages a humdinger of a British title as current British super feather-weight champion Carl Johanneson takes on former champ Michael Gomez at the Doncaster Dome on October 19.
Johanneson and Gomez are undoubtedly two of Britain’s most colourful and experienced super-featherweights and the stage is set to see which formidable fighter will head the domestic kingdom.
There is nothing to split the pair as Gomez boasts a WBU super-featherweight title win over European champ Leva Kirakosyan who beat Johanneson in July.
The title – Nowhere to Run, Nowhere to Hide – accurately sums up the fight’s importance to the pair. Could this be British boxing’s answer to the Gatti and Ward classics?
This super-featherweight thriller will be backed up by the much awaited reappearance of the unbeaten John Fewkes who steps up against the talented Gary Reid.
Frank Maloney Promotions presents “Nowhere to Run, Nowhere to Hide’ at the Doncaster Dome, Doncaster on October 19 and will be televised live on Sky TV. Tickets are available by logging onto www.frankmaloney.com or by calling the Box Office at 0871 226 1508. For any further press information please call 02086914165.
