Contrary to rumors abound that former undisputed world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis was set to resume his boxing career this year against his last victim, current WBC champion Vitali Klitschko, a statement through Lewis's press agent has scotched the possibility completely. Lewis reiterated his desire to be one of the few fighters that retained the dignity of retiring on top of their game and promised once again to stay retired. This announcement came hot on the heels of alleged comments from Lewis stating that he had heard enough talk from Klitschko and was coming back to the ring to face Klitschko this year. As it stands, Lewis will remain in retirement, meanwhile, Klitschko will begin his preparations to fight former champion Hasim Rahman later this year.
