Carl Froch will discuss his British Super-Middleweight Title fight with Robin Reid and the fortunes of his beloved Nottingham Forest on Soccer AM this Saturday.
The Hennessy Sports boxer is a season ticket holder with Forest and will be at the City Ground on Tuesday to see the League One game against Southend United.
A few days later (November 9), Froch defends his British Super-Middleweight Title for the fourth time against former world champion Reid at the Nottingham Arena on a Hennessy Sports show with title partners GoldenPalace.net. Sky Sports will televise live.
Froch hopes Forest can rise up the table like he has the world ratings and will be a studio guest on Soccer AM on Saturday.
“For a big club, it’s a bit demoralising being in the third division but we have already proved we are the top team in the league,” said Froch.
“We came close last season and it was gutting losing out like that.
“I go down to every Nottingham Forest home game now as I’ve got a season ticket. I’m a proud fan. I would like to get to the away games, but because of my training and the time it takes, I can’t.
“I know Kris Commons, Nathan Tyson and Grant Holt well and I get to go in the players’ lounge afterwards so I speak to a few of them.
“I am on friendly terms with the manager Colin Calderwood and everyone is very welcoming to me down there. They are all behind me, like I am them. The club helped me out when I had rehab on my knee injury and hopefully I can fight at the ground some day.”
TV: Sky Sports 1, Soccer AM, 9am-noon
