Thursday, Ricky Hatton arrived at Las Vegas airport alongside brother Matthew, trainer Billy Graham, agent Paul Speak and strength coach/ nutrionist Kerry Kayes to awaiting photographers and fans.
Obviously thrilled to be back in Vegas – the Hitman told Sky Sports; Ed Robinson that it ‘made the hairs on the back of the neck stand-up, you get that little bit of a buzz'.
Hatton was driven immediately to a ‘top-secret’ home-from-home where he would be able to chill in his preparations for the big fight against Floyd Mayweather on December 8. Checking over his temporary home, the Hitman was delighted with the huge game room and even more chuffed to see Hatton pictures on the walls.
Talking about his weight, Hatton said, “I don’t want to come in on the night too heavy, like I did against Collazo; that was quite a poor performance but I’ve learned from my mistakes and believe you me – this will be the best Ricky Hatton”.
He also said that with all the preparations and training – even down to the travel and accommodation – he couldn’t have done it any better.
Gazing out over the lovely back yard and swimming pool at his rented house in Vegas, the Hitman said “It can’t come quick enough!”
