“Battle At The Boat” Boxing Continues Tonight At Emerald Queen Casino

One of America’s longest running and most successful Boxing Series the “ Battle at the Boat” will have their last show of 2007 on Saturday, December 1, 2007 and the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma , Washington . The series is promoted by Brian Halquist Productions and is the ninth show this year.

The main event will see new BHP signee Eric Fields face veteran Louis Monaco in a 10 Rounder. Fields hails from Ardmore , Oklahoma and had a successful amateur Career. In 2004 and 2005 Fields won the national Golden Gloves Heavyweight title and was named Golden Boy (outstanding fighter) at the tournament. Louis Monaco is a veteran fighter who has fought the best cruiserweights in the world.

“This will be a great test for Eric,” said promoter Brian Halquist . “We are going to have Eric at a good pace this next year. We hope to get him on TV as soon as possible and plan to fight him tough. We want to fight Eric here at the Emerald Queen Casino and other venues as well as back home in Oklahoma . We are going to keep Eric on the fast track.”

The semi-main 6 round fight will feature two fighters who the Northwest fight fans have seen before and liked. Daniel Gonzalez will fight Derrick Moon in a welterweight bout.

“Both Gonzalez and Moon have fought for us before. This should be a great fight!” Halquist said.

Other bouts on the card are:

James Sangrey of Great Falls , MT vs. Frank Dojaquez of Pomona , CA ; Welterweight; 4 Rounds

Noe Luengas of Oaxaca , Mexico vs. Gabriel Cruz of Oceanside , CA ; Flyweight; 4 Rounds

Daverne Morrison of Billings , MT vs. Jennifer Barber Van Nuys , CA ; Super Featherweight; 4 Rounds

Michael Birthmark of Billings , MT vs. Fernando Barajas of Michoacan , Mexico ; Middleweight; 4 Rounds

The 62nd installment of The Battle at the Boat Series will be January19, 2008.

Tickets are available at the Emerald Queen Casino Box Office or Ticketmaster for $75.00, $40.00 and $25.00.
