“Holiday Havoc” Returns Boxing To Boston Once Again

By Boxing Press December 6th, 2007 All Press Releases

Cappiello Promotions returns professional boxing to Boston for one final time in 2007, with "Holiday Havoc," an exciting 9-bout event to be held Thursday, December 6th at The Roxy.

"This is going to be a great night of boxing, featuring some of the area's top up and coming prospects," exclaimed Cappiello Promotions president Rich Cappiello. "I believe The Roxy to be one of the best venues in which to take in a night at the fights, and fight fans in Boston, and throughout New England are, very much aware of that, and always come out in masses to take in the action. I am pleased to be putting on this final show of 2007, thus finishing off what has been a very successful year for Cappiello Promotions."

The 9-bout card will feature four undefeated New England prospects, to include: Massachusetts flyweight Icender Beauchamp (2-0), Rhode Island heavyweight Phillip Miller (2-0, 1 KO), Massachusetts lightweight Simeon Dunwell (5-0, 2 KO's), and heavy-handed Massachusetts cruiserweight Richard Gingras (4-0, 3 KO's).

Once-beaten Massachusetts power-puncher Vinnie Caritas (4-1, 4 KO's) returns to the ring for the first time since his November, 2006 loss at the hands of intra-state rival Chris McInerney, while Lowell, Massachusetts junior welterweight Sean Eklund (3-2) will continue to heed the advice of his uncle, and trainer, "Irish" Micky Ward, in hopes of extending his current 3-fight win-streak.

The remaining undercard will feature Massachusetts natives Keith Banchini (heavyweight) , Juan Lopez (lightweight) , and Philadelphia, PA's Frankie Trader (junior lightweight) , all of whom are making their respective pro debuts.

Doors to the event open at 6:30 PM, with the first fight slated for 7 PM.

Tickets, priced at $40 (General Admission) and $60 (Ringside) are available by calling 508-586-2277.
