WBC CABOFE Middleweight Champion and Former Contender Star, Miguel Espino (18-2-1 7 KO's) is quickly climbing up the charts of the World Boxing Council (WBC) and is currently ranked at #13.
With an impressive 4th round TKO against Roberto Valenzuela in November, the middleweight champion extended his winning streak to 9 in a row.
Look for Espino to defend his belt in early 2008 on a televised bout in pursuit of a world title with one of the Middleweight Champions.
When asked about a possible fight with undefeated season one "Contender" champion Sergio Mora (19-0-1 4KO's), a smiling Espino stated, "I'll go toe to toe with Sergio Mora. In a twelve round fight, I believe I would stop him.
"It would be the first for the WBC to have two former 'Contender' stars fighting to climb up their rankings. He's ranked #11 and I'm at #13. If we can make it happen, I'm all for it."
Miguel would also like to thank everyone who's supported him this past year, wishing them a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
"I would like to thank all of my loyal fans and supporters for the love that they have showed me throughout my career," said Espino. "In 2008 I'm looking to get a title shot. I want to show the fans and the boxing community that I'm the real deal. I'll fight anyone, anywhere."
