As previewed by our very own Richard Eberline yesterday, we bring you some of the international boxing results first mentioned in his, "This Week in Boxing," article.
Firstly, the French flyweight contest that took place in Ajaccio, Corse between French compatriots Bernard Inom and Alain Bonnel ended in Inom's favor in the third round. A peach of a right hand decked Bonnel and he was unable to withstand the subsequent barrage from Bonnel and was stopped.
In Australia, former WBA super middleweight champion and controversial news figure Anthony Mundine scored a predictable stoppage of Darmell Castillo in the fourth round of their fight. The contest took place at the Gold Coast Convention Centre in Queensland. Mundine won the fight on a vicious body shot for which his opponent had no answer. Next for Mundine may be a fight with unbeaten champion Mikkel Kessler.
Stay tuned for more international results throughout this week.
