“In the spirit of keeping a great fight alive for traditional belts, Hennessy Sports have raised their original offer to Amir Khan,” said British Lightweight Champion Jon Thaxton's promoter Mick Hennessy.
“Thursday afternoon, this week we sent a fax to Sports Network along with a copy to Asif Vali offering Amir £400,000 sterling to fight Jon. I want to give Amir one final opportunity to do what we believe to be the right thing, Jon’s even prepared to fight him on his own turf, at the Bolton Arena on April 5.
"British boxing fans want to see this fight so let’s give it to them, all you need to do, Amir, is accept our generous offer and step up to the plate.”
