Former Olympian Egerton Marcus says he is ready to return to the ring at the age of forty. Of Guyanese descent but fighting out of Toronto in Canada, Marcus won the Olympic silver medal in the middleweight division at the 1988 games, he lost in the final to Henry Maske and lost again to Maske as a professional, only that time, the IBF light heavyweight title was on the line. Marcus is well known as a sparring partner and friend of former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world Lennox Lewis who won gold as a super heavyweight in the 1988 Olympics. Inactive for four years, Marcus will be looking to get back into the picture in the heavyweight division. His last fight was a loss to Razor Ruddock for the vacant Canadian heavyweight title.
