Irish middleweight champion Matthew Macklin and former World Champion Yori Boy Campas will come face to face for the first time at 1pm on Tuesday (March 18th) for a press conference and public workout at the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre ahead of their Ladbrokes.com Fight Night at the National Stadium, Dublin on Saturday, March 22nd.
Both men have had extensive training camps in the U.S. in preparation for the bout. Macklin has been preparing in Florida with new trainer and former two-weight world champ Buddy McGirt while Campas has been training in Phoenix, Arizona
Once the talking is out of the way on Tuesday the boxers on the Ladbrokes.com Fight Night including Macklin, Cuban heavyweight sensation Mike Perez and former Irish amateur heavyweight champ Ian Tims will give the public an inside look at the life of a professional boxer as they go through their daily training sessions.
All are welcome to attend. The press conference starts at 1pm with the public workouts immediately afterwards. The event takes place beside the UCI Cinema Complex in Blanchardstown Shopping Centre.
