WBC minimumweight champion Carina “La Reina” Moreno (17-1, 5 KO’s) has signed a contract to defend her title against Dan-Bi Kim (4-0, 1 KO) of South Korea. The fight will take place at the Tachi Palace Casino on April 17, 2008.
Moreno is eager to step back in the ring while attempting to extend on her nine fight winning streak as she stated, “I’m ready to go. I just fought Mayela Perez in a four rounder a few weeks ago.
“My trainer Rick and I feel real confident in this fight. I believe my experience will be the difference. I can’t wait to showcase my skills to all my fans at the Tachi Palace. I’m very thankful to my promoter Christian Printup and co-manager Repo Rick for putting this fight together.”
