With just four weeks until Ricky Hatton's 'Homecoming' in Manchester, 'The Hitman' is already looking in great shape at 10 stone and 12lbs [152 lb] and is looking forward to the fight against California based Mexican-American Juan Lazcano.
Talking to Sky Sports, Hatton said that Lazcano is a 'come forward' boxer - who fights toe-to-toe...that's something I like!,' he smiled.
And wanting to look his best - ever, Team Hatton have brought in the young Lee Beard, as Hatton's 'Assistant Trainer', to work alongside the more experienced head trainer Billy Graham at his gym in Denton, Greater Manchester. Beard is doing extra pad work and combinations with Hatton under the watchful eye of 'The Preacher'.
After 55,000 tickets were sold in just a few hours, it's clear that Ricky Hatton has not lost any of his popularity! Fighting at his beloved Manchester City Football Ground, Ricky Hatton versus Juan Lazcano promises to be a 'star-studded' event. Hatton said he believed it would be 'one of the best boxing nights in Ricky Hatton's Career'.
