Hot undefeated junior welterweight prospect, Danny Garcia, 6-0 (5), who hails from the tough streets of Philadelphia, is eager to get back in the ring and let loose his power. The heavy-handed rising star takes the stage June 7, 2008 against an opponent TBA on the Pavlik vs Lockett card, at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
After knocking out his first five opponents within two rounds, Garcia went the distance for the first time in his last bout, his first six rounder. He swept all three judges scored cards 60-54 while dropping his opponent a split second after the final round ended.
"I'm a very hungry fighter that wants to get back in the ring," said Garcia, "In my last fight I didn't let my hands go like I normally do. I know you can't knock everyone out, but I'm going to do my best to get the KO in this next fight. Who ever they put in front of me is going to have their hands full."
After getting some good rounds, Danny looks to maintain his winning streak as he marches toward a world title. This will be the second, six round bout for Golden Boy's young sensation.
