Newly crowned undisputed welterweight champion of the world Zab Judah of Brooklyn, New York took a gamble by accepting short money to fight a Cory Spinks rematch. It was a bold move by Judah who had faith in his ability to beat Spinks, and he did it impressively in the end. Oscar de la Hoya and Shane Mosley are returning to the welterweight division and
they will not be looking to mark time at the tail-end of their career's. With that in mind, it has to be wondered who will be next up to face Zab Judah for the undisputed welterweight title. Financial motives would seem to sway Judah towards De La Hoya, given that the "Golden Boy" is boxing's biggest earner. However, boxing is an unpredictable game and we won't know until contracts are signed.
