After his stunning ESPN2 televised knockout victory over Sechew Powell on June 11 at the Hard Rock Café in New York City, Deandre “The Bull” Latimore is looking for his next victim.
“We would really like a shot at the current IBF champion Verno Phillips before he files for social security," said Latimore's manager, Jerry Giuliano.
“Deandre deserves this chance as he not only beat Powell, who was rated # 1 by the IBF, but he is the only fighter ever to stop him. We were hoping for a fight with Cory Spinks with the winner taking on Phillips.
We have called Cory out on several occasions but it is apparent he knows that Deandre is too much for him. The fans of St. Louis would love that fight as a cross-town showdown. We’re prepared to show that Deandre truly is the boss.”
