The King of Amangwane, Inkosi Mzondeni Hlongwane and the All Africa Cultural Organisation honoured the WBC International Bantamweight Vusi Malinga for his outstanding victory against Veeraphol Sahaprom and the resulting achievement of becoming the mandatory challenger for WBC World Champion Hozumi Hasegawa of Japan.
The event formed part of the Ntombi Nto Project (Reed Dance), which his majesty organised last weekend.
The Ntombi Nto Project is aimed at protecting young women against the risk of contracting HIV/ AIDS illnesses by providing cultural education to help the youth abstain from engaging in sexual activities.
Vusi and his father, Jabu Malinga, received the honorary diplomas at this event.
