Let’s Get It On Boxing Announce “History In The Making Card” August 29

By Boxing Press July 17th, 2008 All Press Releases

Let's Get It On Promotions and the City of Fallon, NV are pleased to announce "History in the Making" on August 29, 2008 at the Churchill County Fairgrounds.

Headlining the show are the locally popular Hinkey brothers, Derek, 5-1 (5), and Tyler, 4-0-1 (3). Both brothers are coming off of KO victories against undefeated opponents in their last appearances on June 13 in Reno.

Tyler, the younger but larger brother, scored a first round knockout over Michael Finney, of San Jacinto, CA. The two heavyweights threw caution to the wind and threw heavy punches until a barrage from Hinkey put Finney on the floor. Hinkey finished the job shortly afterward.

Derek Hinkey, a middleweight, fought the very tough Gabriel Gil, of Madera, CA in a bout scheduled for six rounds. Hinkey had Gil down in the first round, but the relentless Californian got back on his feet and scored his share of shots in the next rounds. Gil suffered a very bad cut under his right eye after a Hinkey left hook. Gil was unable to continu e, giving Hinkey the TKO win.

Both Hinkeys are scheduled to fight in six round-bouts on August 29.

Also scheduled to appear on "History in the Making" is lightweight Michael Peralta, 4-2 (1), from Carson City, NV. Peralta is coming off of a six-round decision victory over California prospect and previously undefeated Javier Garcia.

Coming back to Northern Nevada to fight on August 29 is the popular East Coast middleweight prospect Mark "The Italian Bazooka" Deluca, 6-0 (4), from Boston and Mongolian sensation Batkhuu "Batman" Otgonchuluun, 1-0 (1).

Deluca and Otgonchuluun also fought on Let's Get It On Promotions' last show in Reno. Deluca scored an impressive first-round knockout over Carson City's Flavio Cardoza. Otgonchuluun served up a ferocious third-round knockout over Omar Valencia, 0-2.
