WBA Cruiser Champ Firat Arslan takes on mandatory challenger Guillermo Jones from Panama on September 27 at the Color Line Arena in Hamburg. Supporting bouts will be announced later but this date has previously been mentioned for the WBC heavyweight eliminator between Vladimir Virchis and Juan Carlos Gomez, as well as the WBO Interim Super Middle title between Jean Paul Mendy and Karoly Balzsay.

Swedish-based Ugandan Peter Semo didn´t just lose a NABA title fight at junior lightweight against Jo Jo Dan on Friday night in Romania; he also lost a chance to fight Patrick Malinga for the vacant WBC International title at lightweight - the fight was never set, but in the works for a show staged on Finnish soil by Pro Box Scandinavia.

The WBC International now wants Peter to get some "significant results" before he can allowed to fight for its title. Also on the bill in Romania, feather prospect Viorel Simion floored Semo´s stablemate Abdu Tebazalwa in the first en route to a unanimous decision after eight.

K2 East have their next show scheduled for September 27 in Kiev but are uncertain about the headliner. It could be middleweight Maksim Bursak, IBF Youth title holder, but it´s not set yet. As for K2 East´s biggest star, European Junior Middle Champ Zauerbek Baysangurov, his title defence against Jamie Moore appears now to be headed for the UK in September.

Polish heavy Albert "the Dragon" Sosnowski, with a very inflated record of 43-1, has his second fight in the US when he faces Kevin Burnett on August 6 in New York City. Sosnowski is still based in Poland but promoted by Star Boxing when over there.

The Mamadou Thiam vs. Predrag Radosevic fight set for Budva in Montenegro on August 1 was for one reason or another canceled. The show went ahead, headlined by heavyweight Nenad Borovcanin, who stopped a Hungarian opponent.

Norwegian super bantam Reidar Walstad, 18-2-2 and # 5 in the EBU ratings, outscored Sumaila Badu over four rounds on Friday night in Watford, England. Walstad is next scheduled to appear on Pugnus Boxing Promotions´ show in Karlstad, Sweden, on September 5
