The WBC/WBO world super bantamweight unification fight will not happen as soon as we thought. WBC champion Larios suffered an inury to one of his biceps while defending his title recently against Irishman Wayne McCullough. This unfortunate happening means that Larios will not be able to compete against WBO champion Joan Guzman in the unification that was planned for a few months from now. Larios has been one of the more consistent champions in recent times, notching up numerous defences while other champions remain idle. The possibility of a more lucrative rematch with Wayne McCullough in Ireland is also a distinct possibility upon Larios's recovery.
