Matthew Hatton v Scott Woolford
8 x 3 Welterweight Contest
This was to be Hattons' first fight under new trainer Lee Beard. Having suffered a defeat to Craig Watson in May, Hatton now fights out of Bobby Rimmer's Boxing Academy.
It was a tough, close contest, Woolford having being put on the canvas by Hatton, though protests suggest it was more of a bungling over. Undeterred by a cut to the right eye, "Magic Matthew Hatton" outpointed Scott "The Gent" Woolford and improves to 34-4 (13).
Kevin Hammond v Lester Walsh
6 x 3 Middleweight Contest
Hammond wins on points and improves to 3-1 (1).
Kevin Concepcion v Vepkhia Tchilaia
6 x 3 Middleweight Contest
Concepcion wins on points and improves to 13 wins.
Adie Whitmore v Bob Ajisafe
6 x 3 Light Heavyweight Contest
Whitmore didn't really settle in to the fight against southpaw Ajisafe of Darlington. With both eyes cut underneath, "The Golden Boy" Whitmore fell to his knees in round four with blood splashing on to the canvas from the - now split - swelling around the eye. An excited Ajisafe improves to 6-0 (2).
Tyrone Nurse v Carl Allen
4 x 3 Light Welterweight Contest
Nurse - sporting a large swelling above the right eye - won on points against last minute opponent Allen. Nurse improves to 2 wins.
Karl Chiverton v Billy Smith
4 x 3 Light Middleweight Contest
Chiverton won on points against ʽworkhorseʼ Smith. And improves to 10-1 (1).
Liam Anthony v Syed Ali
4 x 3 Light Middleweight Contest
Making his pro-debut, Ali of Chris Sanigar's gym put up a good fight against Anthony. Anthony wins his second contest on points.
