From WBC President Jose Sulaiman:
The WBC was saddened to hear about the passing away of Dr. Anthony Daly. Dr. Daly worked very closely with the legendary promoter Bob Arum, who was devastated by the loss of his close friend.
Dr. Daly worked in the care of many of the greatest boxers of the last quarter century, including Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler, George Foreman, Oscar De La Hoya, Floyd Mayweather Jr., and many others.
The WBC considered Dr. Daly to be a credit to boxing, and one of the most distinguished professionals in the sport. We all are very sorry to hear of his passing away, and send our sympathy to his family and friends.
Dr. Robert Karns will represent the WBC at his funeral at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 10, at the Church of the Good Shepherd at 505 North Bedford Drive in Beverly Hills, California.
