In one of the outstanding fights on tonight's huge fight card in Los Angeles, Britain's Junior Witter got Hennessy Sports off to a fantastic start by winning what must be thought of as something of an upset win over Lovemore N'dou. Going into the fight, Witter, although being the European light welterweight champion was considerably less regarded than N'dou who has fought in several high-profile bouts. Both fighters took the fight on short-notice so were at similar disadvantages but it was the awkward style of Witter coupled with his speed and power that won the hour for him. N'dou forced the issue towards the end of the fight but could not recoup the deficit he gave up having been dropped twice in the early rounds. Stay tuned for more results from L.A. tonight.
