Ahead of their hotly anticpated showdown tonight at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, MS, Nate Campbell and Joan Guzman hit the scales yesterday with mixed results. Triple World Champion Campbell was bang on the mark at 135 lb while Guzman failed to do the same, tipping the beam at 138.5 lb during Friday's weigh-in.
WBC Light Welterweight Champ Timothy Bradley and opponent Edner Cherry both passed their test with Bradley recorded at 139.75 lb and Cherry registering 139.25 lb.
Showtime will televise live at 9 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the West Coast.
The event is being promoted by Don King Productions in association with Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, Miss. The Campbell-Guzman main event will be presented in association with One Punch Productions and Sycuan Ringside Promotions. The Bradley-Cherry fight is promoted by Gary Shaw Productions and Thompson Boxing Promotions.
