On Monday, October 13, 2008, former two-time world champion, Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero, has agreed to participate in the 15th annual "Tee Off For Youth" golf tournament, benefiting the Gilroy Youth Center in California.
Guerrrero, who currently uses the youth center as his hometown training facility, is delighted to be part of this fundraiser stating, "I'm honored to be part of this golf tournament and give back to the youth. As a kid I was blessed that the Gilroy Youth Center was there to keep my brothers and I out of trouble. The youth of today must have positive place to interact. After school programs are needed to keep the kids off the streets. This is going to be great."
The 15th annual "Tee Off For Youth" golf tournament takes place at the beautiful Corde Valle golf club and was founded by Gilroy's Supervisor Don Gage. Without his efforts to bring sponsors and players together, the success would be greatly diminished. Through this tournament, Don has kept this promise.
