With less then a week before she defends her WBC and WIBA Minimumweight titles, reining champion, Carina "La Reina" Moreno, 19-1 (5), will be well prepared for her opponent, Jodie Esquibel, who hails from Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Four time world champion Moreno has spent her final days of training camp at the Chico Boxing Club in Chico, California, where she's been sparing with undefeated rising star, Ava Knight, 4-0-2 (2).
Knight is considered by many critics in women's boxing as a future champion. Carina also worked with amateur stand-out Claudia Gutierrez.
