Philadelphia's hot prospect, Danny "Swift" Garcia, moved to 10-0 (7) with a dominating performance over a game Jose Alfredo Lugo of Mexico last night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Garcia pressed the action from the opening round using a mixture of exciting combinations as he used his swift feet to get in and out of engagement. In the middle rounds, Garcia ripped the body with both hands followed by hooks to the head and the occasional impressive uppercut.
Garcia goes the distance for the third time in his career as he continues to shine. Scorecards read 80-72, 80-71, and 79-73 ,all in favor for Garcia, Golden Boy Promotions rising star.
"I wanted to come out tonight and show the fans that I'm a complete fighter," said Garcia. "The experience I'm getting is preparing me for the next level. I'm going to continue to work hard and work my way up the rankings."
