Juarez (22-0, 15 KO’s) is ranked #1 by both the WBC and IBF, and is recognized as the WBC Continental Americas featherweight champion. The 24-year-old Houston, TX native earned the silver medal for the U.S. in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia. As an amateur he compiled an impressive record of 145-17 while winning 68-consecutive bouts. Since turning pro in Jan 2001, Juarez has stopped 15 opponents, six within the first two rounds. In his last bout on December 3, 2004, Juarez gave the most impressive performance of his young professional career when he obliterated former WBC featherweight champion Guty Espadas, Jr in the second round with a devastating two-punch combination that broke Espadas’ nose (KO 2).

Ramirez (34-7, 14 KO’s) has fought for a world title three times in his career, battling such champions as Luisito Espinosa, Erik Morales, and Acelino Freitas. The 27-year-old Cuidad Juarez, Mexico native captured the NABF featherweight title on June 13, 2003, when he defeated Hector Marquez (W 12). In his last bout on Dec 11, 2004, Ramirez lost a controversial split decision to Carlos Hernandez (L 10).

Lacierva (26-5-5, 18 KO’s) has won seven of his last eight bouts, all by knockout. The only mark on the 30-year-old Mexico City, Mexico native’s record during this time span was a highly-controversial 10 round draw against Armando Guerrero on Nov 4, 2004 (D 10). Lacierva has stopped eight opponents within the first three rounds.

Carbajal (24-12-1, 20 KO’s) has won six of his last seven bouts. The 31-year-old Veracruz, Mexico native is the former WBO bantamweight champion. On March 15, 2002, Carbajal stopped Mauricio Martinez in nine rounds to win the WBO crown. He successfully defended it three times before losing it via decision in his last bout against Ratanachai Vorapin on May 7, 2004 (L 12).
