Boxing In South Africa: BSP’s Hectic Schedule

By Boxing Press March 5th, 2009 All Press Releases

Branco Milenkovic has arguably steered his promotional outfit BSP into the driver's seat on the South African scene in recent months and has announced a busy upcoming schedule.

On March 6 at Nasrec Arena in Johannesburg, Jasper Seroka and Warren Joubert will meet for the South African Junior Lightweight Championship, while BSP's fighter Vusi Malinga will travel to the World Memorial Hall in Kobe, Japan where he will challenge WBC Bantamweight Champion Hozumi Hasegawa.

March 27 in Klerksdorp, South Africa, BSP boxer Chris Van Heerden will fight for the South African Welterweight crown.

In other news involving BSP's considerable stable, Cassius Baloyi will square off against old foe Malcolm Klaasen for the IBF Junior Lightweight title, Isaac Hlatshwayo will challenge Joshua Clottey for the IBF Welterweight belt while Jeffrey Mathebula will meet Celestino Caballero for the IBF/WBA Junior Featherweight trophy.

Both Simphiwe Nonqgayi and Evans Mabamba are mandatory challengers for Vic Darchinyan's various world titles at junior bantamweight and Silence Mambuza will clash with Yonnhy Perez in an IBF Bantamweight Eliminator
