Fresh from speaking on Sydney, Australia based radio station 2KY’s program ‘The Big Sports Breakfast’ with great friend Michael 'Slats' Slater and Terry 'TK' Kennedy this morning, Billy ‘The Kid’ Dib had one simple message for his opponent in the upcoming two-title championship bout on March 11, saying, “I’m sorry Davey Browne, but I’m knocking you out!”
With simple pre-fight confidence from working with renowned fight-conditioner ‘Billy Hussein’, Dib, 21-1 (11), feels that Brown will have no answers come fight night, held at The Cube in the Sydney suburb of Campbelltown, NSW.
Billy also confirmed that his great friend and mentor, Sugar’ Shane Mosley, fresh off a massive win over Antonio Margarito, arrives today in Australia to support ‘The Kid’ over the final days of preparation leading up to Wednesday’s fight.
“This is my fight, not his," said Dib. "I absolutely respect the fact that Davey called for this fight, but make no mistake, I’m finishing it and I’m knocking him out, it’s as simple as that!
“Billy Hussein and I have prepared and I have nothing but faith in the preparation we are bringing into this fight. My weight’s right, everything’s in order, let’s go!”
Trainer Billy Hussein added, “I don’t know how much more I can get him ready. He’s fit and has trained as hard and with as much quality as any fighter I have worked with going into a big fight; Vic Darchinyan, Danny Green, any of them. He’s a firecracker waiting to be lit. I get the easy job of now lighting it!”
Dib and Browne, 15-0-1 (4), will square off for the Interim WBC Youth Featherweight title, promoted by Grange Old School Boxing and televised by Main Event.
