Heavyweight sensation Odlanier Solis impressed the audience at Miccosukee Resort in Miami with a devastating first round KO win over journey man “Diamond” Dominique Alexander.
The three-time world amateur champion and 2004 Olympic gold medallist dropped his opponent twice, the second time at2:55 minutes, as Alexander lay face down on the canvas when referee Frank Santore jr. counted him out.
It was the 14th win in as many pro fights for “La Sombra” who had just recovered from a hand injury and fought under the guidance of his old amateur coach and Cuban trainer legend Pedro Diaz for the first time as professional.
“Solis showed that he fights in a league of his own”, says promoter Ahmet Öner. “Now we will match him with world class opposition to keep on bringing him to the top fast.”
“I am the future of the heavyweight division”, states Solis. “Nobody in the world can beat me. I will be the next undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.”
