Undefeated cruiserweight bruiser Matt "Too Smooth" Godfrey first threw a change-up and then a couple off left hooks and ended Felix Cora Jr.'s evening early with a second round TKO. The former amateur standout from Providence, Rhode Island normally fights out of an orthodox stance, however, Godfrey (15-0, 9 KO's) answered the bell for the opening round of the scheduled twelve rounder for the NABF & NABA belts fighting as a southpaw. That change of tactics seemed to have thrown off the other lefthander in the ring, his opponent, the somewhat baffled Cora (18-2, 9 KO's).
