she gave the shortest interview in history to a newspaper journalist in a hotel lobby I believe. he said, "I wonder" and she said, "Why wonder?" and left!! LMAO
She did. Mercedes de Acosta and Louise Brooks, who described her as a "masculine but tender lover" She pined hard for Mimi Pollak here, but Mimi married. :(
I hope she slept with other women. They would be the cherry on the icing on the chocolate cake.
ok, hear me out..Garbo was bi for what I've read. She also had numerous love affairs with men and also women ergo, bi, and for the photos that Ive seen of her in plain clothes, she seemed to like wearing masucline type of clothes. My question is if she was rather more inclined to one gender than the other.
This woman was a great actress too, I've seen her in some movies :)
Did Garbo not even give one interview? Is there interview footage of her any where?
yes mimi and greta are lovers tehir lesbian couples and very very pretty in their younger years.
F with webcam. MSG me on MSN. ID is in my profile. u
haha really? I live at Blekingegatan! I should look for that house :)
If you want to know what she said, you could always rent or buy Garbo's box set,the interview is in there. Mary-

The great actress/director Mimi Pollak is very old here; she died just a few years later after this interview, if I'm not wrong.. but she was quite beautiful in her younger years; you can check her up at the English wikipedia (also younger photo).. In letters it is revealed that they were lovers.. of course, Mimi says nothing of it here.. she never spoke of it publicly (naturally).
THIS IS FANTASTIC
You know I used to live in the same part of Stockholm where she grew up. Sometimes I passed her childhood-house (actually it has been torn down. There´s another house house in its place.) And they have put a sculpture of her head on the house (on the corner). It´s very ugly! (the sculpture I mean). Still, I wish I had taken a photograph of it! (it´s on Blekingegatan - in case you should visit Stockholm. I´ve forgotten the number though.)
Thank you Mackep83 a lot
She also was very philosophic, she was thinking a lot. Yes, she was very alone, but of course, she had a lot of friends, but we never talked about loneliness, but I remember ones, when I was asking her about it, and she just said, don't ask questions".
One time, they came in and laughed, they always had a lot of fun together, but I was looking at Einar and said to him. But Einar, you have been very skinny, and he said, of course, I'm forced to run after Greta all the time. Every time when she saw a poor person, she crossed the way and give him/her some money, she was very considerate, and that was very unswedish behaviour, I think she got it from Amerika.
I can try, I'm from sweden, but my english is bad :) "She liked walking around in stockholm very mouch, we did laugh at her, because she spend more than 4 hours/day just walking, and walking and walking, and every time she was searching her old favourite places from her childhood. A person who always walked with her was Einar Nerman, and they where good friend. I could´t reach her at this time cause the was walking arround somewhere in stockholm.
Can you post it in English? Or, since, I'm so selfish, French subtitles?
Could you translate some part of what she said?
great.If only I could understand.
no, sorry. but i´m working on a transcript for my Garbo homepage.
Do you possibly have a version with english subtitles?
