Yuri is the champ. He definitely has some back-up-off-me power. He floored Santos twice and wobbled him in the 12th round. ashyknuckles, I think your analysis here is spot on and I think the sky is the limit for Yuri. I'd like to see him defend the title against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Both fighters are undefeated, don't you think that'd be an interesting fight? I thought Yuri showed that he has great handspeed and footwork against Santos. His in and out movement is very difficult to penetrate.

Wow, I just want to say that you put in a lot of eloquence in your explanations. Spoken I a true boxing fan who made it possible for a newbie kike me, so to speak, to understand everything. It Just been announced that Yuri will be fighting for the championship under Cotto/Pacquiao against Daniel Santos.

Very good video. ANd I agree, Boxing is suppose to be about Hitting and not getting hit back. That is always #1

@ashyknuckles1 Yeah Daniel Santos would be a good tough fight for Yuri Foreman.....

    good show chief

  13. Jul 10, 2009 at 08:22 AM by ashyknuckles1

Exactly. I'm not saying he would beat Spinks, Martinez, Williams etc, but he has the style to frustrate any opponent. He's very patient in the ring and he picks his spots well. I would go after the Daniel Santos if I were his handlers. Not saying he'd win, but he has a great chance of outboxing another solid boxer.

    true

@ashyknuckles1 Whaddup bro! Yuri Foreman is definitely progessing and yes some people don't like his fighting style but i do..... I don't seem to understand either way how they can't put him in there with an elite fighter.... Maybe he can fight a Cory Spinks or a Sergio Mora.....?

lol when you sayed that this guy use the ring and before you sayed anything i was alreayd thinking he's fight are going to be boring lol,but i can see this guy beeing champ and for a long time to.He's going to give trouble to boxer by moving around and his speed will be a big factor in his fight.and let say he does become a one style set up combanation and ppl study his tape they still need to be fast enough to counter.Remenber pac had a two peace.everyone have a plan till you step in the ring.

  17. Jul 9, 2009 at 01:54 PM by ashyknuckles1

lol. He did say it was Frank Warren's fault. And he did end up fighting some solid guys after he left Warren. So, I can't be hard on him.

  18. Jul 9, 2009 at 01:53 PM by ashyknuckles1

Thanks for watching. No HD options. Hard to believe he hasn't had a title shot. And it's hard to believe he has a hard time getting network exposure. He was a little boring earlier in his career, but he had added to his game tremendously. We'll see what happens though.

  19. Jul 9, 2009 at 01:36 PM by odin422

I'll say his name: Ricky Hatton

  20. Jul 9, 2009 at 01:35 PM by odin422

That was a classy intro, question do you have the option to make that part HD? I been watchin Yuri for quite a while now, it's hard to belive this cat aint got a title shot by now
