why everytime someone shows up and tells "This martial art seems to suck, its in no competition" people always say "its too dangerous"? If you ask me, thats bullshit. "Kill according to wish"... Thats crap. Your technique can be as good as you want, if the other guy has a whole lot more power and experience, you're fucked. There is no way for anyone to simply kill. You need power, speed, technique... Im not trying to make kalari look bad, its just that i hate this reasoning "too dangerous". sry

I agree with you Mecroxxx. In most cases, the theory and the idea are great, but not practical. i tried aikido, kickboxing and thaiboxing, and after half a year, with aikido you'd be just fucked up, maybe after 5 years you could defend yourself. The Kick and Thai-boxing on the other hand... well, it DOES come in handy and certainly works alot better.

Actually before the Native Nations of the U.S. were controlled by english immigrants, those native nations had martial arts: Isuna Nika martial art of Comanche Nation, Chulukua martial art of Bedonkohe, Oki Chi taw Cree nation (Canada by the way), Rumi Maki (Peru which is free of foreign rule), Lua (Kahuna nation) it's a shame they fought with only spears, knives, and empty handed against firearms.

correct if you look at the wall in the main Shaolin temple it shows Budi Darhma as an indian doing all the kung-fu animal styles which very much resemble the animal styles in this art form of course noone really knows for sure

The flexible swords they use are called Urumi, a kind of whip sword. It's probably the inspiration for those flexible swords you see in asian martial arts. Urumis were said to be able to behead a man with one stroke, and although this is undoubtedly an exaggeration, they can do quite a bit of damage when they hit, due to the sheer force whip-force of a blade that length being swung just right. As for the village's name, India has many many villages, and some of them share the same names.
