i always thought quintana wasn't that good,it's hard to train for an opponent like him, train 100%,paul showed it in the rematch,i still think pavlik will ko him though, those punches that quintana landed, are going to be harder coming from pavlik,,,,

no offense man but jermain taylor and bernard hopkins are both faster than williams.,..hand spead is not going ot make a difference here, decision making is, and based on this video and other videos williams is a horrid decision maker, he is sloppy like taylor, and he doesn't use leverage to throw punches, he slap boxes.

Williams-Pavlik is going to be a good one. I would love too see Pavlik knock Williams out but Pavlik's hand speed isn't exactly world class and Williams is going to see everything coming. He's gonna slip, pick, and counter all night. However Williams doesn't have the knockout power and since this fight will most likely go 12 Pavlik still has a puncher's chance cause Pavlik can punch. And if you saw Williams-Mitchell fight Williams' chin is a bit suspect.

Williams just got lucky in that round. Lucky punching, I think Quintana would have beat him again.

this dude paul is just sloppy man, i hope pavlik knocks him out just for bad ugly style.

man, really great thing about this winn for quintana is that he was beating williams since round 1, it wasent like quintana started to pick up the fight in the mid late rounds or he got one lucky shot on williams, no, he beat williams this entire fight. whick tells u, u dont need to have all these skills to beat williams, quintana was just sticking and moving. he never stood there and let paul pick him apart. pavlik vs williams should be interesting. can paul handle kellys right hand?

  18. Aug 31, 2009 at 11:34 AM by jimmyg141

Maybe Williams was off that night, but you certainly have to give Quintana credit for this skillful performance, as Williams is still damn good even when slightly off. Quintana exposed Joel Julio as well. williams was smart to go after quintana in the rematch, because the danger with quintana is he gets into a rhythm, and williams didnt allow him time to do so in the rematch.

williams had a bad night there he wasnt i shape

  20. Aug 23, 2009 at 04:06 AM by HeatTVGlobal

i bet quintana wishes he ran with this victory and never fought paul williams again, because his face had a nice long kiss with the canvas in the first round of their rematch hahaha

I'm a huge Pavlik fan... I'm from Cleveland, Ohio. I keep reading that Pavlik has no chance against Paul Williams. It seems to me that Williams hasn't fought anyone of Pavlik's caliber yet. I guess what scares me about Williams is that he's more seasoned in late round fights, he works the body a hell of a lot more than Pavlik, he has equal punching power, and of course he's a southpaw. Anyone else care to give their reasonable opinion?

  22. Aug 17, 2009 at 05:22 PM by jalexander305

man say what u want about carlos but he fought way smarter and shocked everyone that night

  23. Aug 10, 2009 at 08:32 PM by Defnyshn

I still can't believe how bad Paul got whooped this fight. He got completely outclassed. Very upsetting. I love Paul, but this was BAD.

  24. Aug 8, 2009 at 12:55 PM by RichCwm

He's not better than Quintana lol, Q outboxed him the whole first fight, W got lucky in the 2nd with the quick KO, caught Q cold.

  25. Aug 2, 2009 at 05:17 PM by mario6082

ROFL Q beat Pauls ass. As big as Paul W is he shouldnt have let that little guy do that to him . He got revenge but the first fight still counts and a third fight needs to happen.
