Pipino cuevas was not naturally bigger than duran. anybody watching their fight could see that duran was probably bigger. Duran was a natural welterweight who starved himself for too long as a lightweight. de la hoya fought at lightweight does that mean he is not a natural welter?

No, Cuevas started as a lightweight and reached his prime at welterweight; at the beginning of his pro career Duran wasn't even a lightweight, then dominated the division for 6 years as the greatest ever at 135ls. Later, He had to starved himself because he ate a lot between fights.

I agree. How did two of the judges have Duran winning after 12? Even if the first 4-5 rounds were close...after the 5th Duran seemed to fade through the middle rounds and did not show real signs of life again until the 10th or 11th. Hagler was up at least 2 after 12. Both fighters were dodging and blocking and there were no shots that hurt the other. Hagler definitely fought the wrong fight. Any thoughts from you seasoned veterans? Did I miss something? Thanks.

This was NOT a close fight! I had 147-139 for Hagler.. Hagler was the better fighter in that fight

Yep, despite the fact the this was a great effort by a great fighter (Duran), it's a shame that hagler doesn't get credit for fighting a smart fight and winning comfortably because of the incompetence of the judges.

144-141 Hagler Relatively close fight. Not quite a Sugar ray vs Duran however. I didnt score any rounds draw: 1.Duran 2-3.Hagler 4.Duran 5-8.Hagler 9.Duran 10.Hagler 11-13.Duran 14-15.Hagler I dont see how Hagler dominated or went through Duran like Knife butter etc... Sorry
