haha, that's snappy and it's a 50% Edge 540. It's easy to see what happened, he just didn't hit right rudder in time. That's all. It's good that he tried to save her to the end. I hate seeing people get into trouble and give up.

this is one giant 1/4 scale looks more like a 42%

to bad he hit right aileron instead of right rudder...and the lack of power didnt help.

why don't you trade in your fixed wing airplanes for some helicopters w/floats? think you'll like it better

  9. Sep 22, 2009 at 10:27 AM by hobbystar1980

Whatever... I didn't even say anything mean. The only reason I kept watching this vid was cause I knew it was going to crash. Don't take offense. There are other people insulting reaction time but you don't lash out at them.. Sorry

    was it hurt ? :)

  16. Jul 24, 2009 at 02:51 PM by Rcpilet

Also, notice how he came out? If he used right rudder, he could have flown it out. He started to use right rudder for just a second, but probably realized pretty quick that it would have flown out over the crowd. He probably made a quick decision to dump it, rather than take the risk of flying it out over the top of the crowd.

He wasn't "outside his limits" He's an EXPERT pilot. It just comes with the territory. Even the best guys make a mistake sometimes. It doesn't mean he is an idiot. It doesn't mean he is outside his limits or flying above his ability. He just made a mistake. It's called a dumb thumb. It happens to the best of them. It's an unfortunate part of this great hobby, but it happens to all of us. Not many of you guys talking smack would even have the balls to flip the prop and start it for him.

    What an idiot

  19. Jul 2, 2009 at 07:08 PM by nick2008bhs

Hover with a helicopter next time. doing it with planes is boring.

  20. Jun 23, 2009 at 10:51 PM by lijian1982

oh my god be careful next time, good luck

  21. Jun 23, 2009 at 10:38 AM by Tord55

Well, the mightier we are, the hard we fall, they say. If someone wants to spend a small fortune on showing off and then wreck it is that person's problem, unless the wrecking hurt someone, or something. The "Agusta 109 Power Rc, Crash" here at YouTube was much costlier, I bet, and that it did itself, with no help from an over-confident pilot! Done a lot of wrecking in my day, but not quite in this price range! If I don't include myself, and my motorbikes, that is :-)! Tord

now you can put in your ass allll the plane ajajajajaj

  23. Jun 1, 2009 at 08:15 PM by stringskippy

lol, this is a good example of how not to try and show off. A Humbling experience for the pilot, clearly wasn't quick enough on the controls to correct.

  24. May 28, 2009 at 11:57 AM by lowcomden

that's not so tragic, therefore, I dunno what if it crashed on the ground instead of that splash...

  25. Apr 26, 2009 at 09:03 PM by slayusword

It was a nice flight until the misfortunate ending =/ I like to fly scale more than aereobatic.
