its to honour your teachers past & present, each teacher has his own unique Wai Kr. From your Wai kru other Masters can tell exactly where your Muay thai comes from its really tough though the one i do but its great for your fitness and balance, the masters say no wai kru no muay thai lol

Wai kru is to pay respect not only to your kru (teacher)but to your parents also demonstrate gratitude for them. pretty cool when i found this out when i went to thailand. and yes gyms are recogn by their wai kru! can't wait till i step in the ring for the 1st time in thailand. going to get a tr

YES, but it does not matter, there is really no right way to do it and the Thais really don't focus on what is lazy and fast. :-)

I agree, FOOLS do not do Muay Thai, most do not have respect or take the time to understand hundreds and hundreds of years of tradition and honor. It is easier to be an animal, no reason, no purpose and just to be stupid and fight for what??
