that was the most stupid defense technique I have ever seen. You actually allow the punch to reach your face and you delay for 0,01 second and you got pwnd. Remember kids - never try this at home. The participants in the video are total idiots :D

unless you are roberto duran, you really dont want to be doing that.. why wouldnt you just slip to the left? keep you eyes on your opponent, imagine taking your eyes away from him like that, turning back and catching a left hook. the punch that hurts the most is the one you dont see, your allowing yourself not to see it so he can catch you with it! :)

turning away your head means losing eye-contact,this is one of the worst mistakes ever..and when u dont see it coming, u not able to turn away your head anywayz..and usually u dont let your opponent just hit u..u try to move and give an answer :)..and why turning away your head when u got gorilla gloves and a headprotection like dey got in the video *just kiddin*..but the other videos about the stance and the chin to the chest are very good*thumbs up*!!

just step out to the left and come in with a left hook thats what i get taught. or something of that likeliness... although if you got no other option then this could be fair enough really. but it looks like a good start to gettin a flurry of punches once youve taken your eyes away man.

wrong, theguy in the video just isnt doing it right, this is a very common technique, its only used to either showboat(chris eubank used to do it) or because they dont have time to bring the guard up or move.
you're supposed to turn your head to the side, no completely away from the opponent, but also lan back with your body while keeping the corner of your eye fixed on your opponent, its only supposed ot be used from a straight up stance with the feet square, not in a traditional stance.

all i know is I Box on a Regular Basis and there is NO WAY Im Rolling a punch unless its rolling my shoulder too. Thats not even my style. LIke I said. I'd rather slip/weave a punch and still SEE my opponent rather than turn my head. Terrible thing to practice. REAL boxers pick up on things like that.

I personally wouldn't practice this, but in some situations, when you know you are going to get hit, it might be useful. I wouldn't rely on it though...you give away points.
