I think the Calzaghe and Jones jr fight could definitely happen. Once Calzaghe deals with Hopkins which he will do FACT, then a believe a 36 year old Calzaghe would be happy to step into the ring with a 39 year old Jones jr. I think Calzaghe will want that one big final pay day before he retires in what will be his 11th year as a world champion.

fuck a Tarver. Roy done whipped ass all over the weight class ladder. Roy shoulda never left the middle weight class at all, but he got bored and moved on to whip BIGGER ass. do you know how hard it is to add weight, lose weight, add weight, lose weight...and just keep doin that shit? he done whipped ass from 164 all the way to 210. Roy is the best.

I predict Calzaghe will get the recognition as one of the greats as soon as he steps in the ring with Jones. Hopkins is a formality.
PS Jones is one of the greatest and a Jones v Calzaghe match would be fantastic battle.

Roy jones seems like a nice enough guy. But, beating a blown-up welter weight that hasn't fought for two years and his last fight was a defeat. Doesn't really say to much about this victory!

trinidad only fought in 170 cuz of the paycheck. trinidad v jones made no sense and both fighters dont have much of a future anymore.did trinidad actually think he was going to win? hes a natural 147 fighting at 170 after a 2-year break , plus hes fighting someone who has a much more experience at that weight.

Roy will outbox Calzaghe by a comfortable 8-4 margin in a match that shows flashes of excitement in the mid and late rounds.Roy is too fast,hits harder,and possesses a defense superior to Bernard,who had Calzaghe missing punches all night long in a losing effort.Roy will not be threatened by Joe's light punches and high work rate,and Roy could very well drop Joe in the fight.

I think Roy lost some of his hunger and just got caught napping against Tarver and Johnson. In his prime,Tarver would never have lasted 4-5 rounds with Roy. Still,Roy should have enough in the tank to beat Calzaghe. Calzaghe has pretty much avoided all the top guys for years,however,he did impress me with his victories over Lacy(very overrated..fooled me)and Kessler. I just think that Calzaghe relies on speed and no way we he outquick Roy..even the past his prime Roy. I say Roy by dec (7-5)rds.
