Smirking? That's his expression, natural as it comes. You obviously do not know talent in the least. You'll notice if you investigate that Antony has been performing for some time, does not release a yearly obligatory album and is signed to indies worldwide. I'm sure the majors are after him, and he may well sign to one, but he's no show-biz whore like so many other musicians.

I'm on your side. Antony is brilliant; naysayers are so few that I'm amazed anyone has the shame to be one!

6 Stars - If there would be such a thing!

    Totally agree with you! Incredible!

  5. Nov 25, 2009 at 03:16 PM by lo0nyk

    Awesome! He's great! Love him!

  6. Nov 25, 2009 at 01:32 AM by amanda0nfire

obviously he's doing something right. i don't see you up there? (for everyone who just loves to bicker about how 'horrible' he sounds) and incase you haven't noticed, it all about the emotion. people that comment on these videos piss me off sometimes. i just had to state my opinion for once.

Well...look, Lady Gaga is a good singer, artist...call her whatever you want, but don't compare to Rihanna...Rihanna is talentless. And beside Gaga is only at the begining of her carrer...I'm so sure she will be someone in the music(because she's doing a good job), and her age is the same with Anthony's age carrer...

voice has no talent??? does being a backing singer for leonard cohen mean nothing?

  9. Nov 23, 2009 at 09:24 AM by stymie02

That's funny I don't remember saying Gaga or anyone else was the bomb. I really like the music and actually like the piano with the rest of it. But, that voice----sry there is no talent here. I have looked at other live stuff and u can always see him kinda smerking in all his vids. This dude is laughing all the way to the bank. You can tell he's sitting there thinking I can't believe peeps are buying this.

stymie02, simple explanation why this is a great voice and you're an idiot: His voice delivers emotions very well, got a rich tone, is versatile and makes the song sound authentic. If you're unable to hear that, you're probably better off listening to Lady Gaga and Rihanna. They're pretty much the opposite, which you apparently seem to consider as a great singer.

I don't know, is Slipknot still considered music as well? At least Antony is understandable. Also, his music is just as much the instrumental part as the vocal part. His voice adds to the atmosphere of the song. I never really enjoyed Fistful of Love as much as Blue Angel, You Are My Sister and Cripple and the Starfish.

How does English or any other language have anything to do with the tone of the guy's voice? Obviously ur biased because ur prolly affiliated with the uhhuumm---gotta clear my voice for this one "the singer"! When i find and alley cat that sounds like it's reeling in pain, best thing to do is just shoot it.

  13. Nov 22, 2009 at 09:36 PM by EvonekovaProductions

Is English your first language? And if you are going to comment on "this stuff", why don't you at least make it a good comment instead of putting down something someone might really like? Just a suggestion.

  14. Nov 22, 2009 at 08:54 PM by stymie02

OK I don't know where to begin. I don't normally comment on this stuff but I have too. i am very open to many different types of music. i was really hoping it was a joke until I saw several live performance videos. i like the music but please tell me we have not degraded this far that this guy is considered as having a good voice. It sounds like an animal dying at every turn.

o right well thanks for that ;-)

This song is about loving someone who, for some reason, cannot show that he/she loves you back. Thus, you are "left to pick up the hints, the little symbols" of the other person's unexpressed devotion to you. Antony uses "fists" and "whip" as metaphors for the acts of rejection that come with impossible love... when you know someone loves you but can't express it, their actions are painful, and you are left to "accept and collect" upon your body the memories of their devotion to you.

what the fk is this song about? is he sayin its okay to beat your partner as long as yopu love them / forgive your partner for beating you if you love them? cause thats what i think hes sayin still top tune

  20. Nov 13, 2009 at 12:08 PM by NightAmbient

What a truely, truely amazing piece of art. Glad I found it.

  21. Nov 12, 2009 at 08:25 PM by snowboy42

does that make the music any less beautiful?

  22. Nov 12, 2009 at 07:31 PM by khbgkh

if he would tone down his vibrato he would have an even more amazing voice

  23. Nov 12, 2009 at 07:29 PM by khbgkh

wrong. its not as natural, because it requires completely artificial means to do it.

  24. Nov 12, 2009 at 07:50 AM by PereUbu86

I am sorry for playing the teacher (again?).
