My rematch against Dion was cancelled due to him being ill and injured (thank God, phew!) so I fought his mate Karam, he trains boxing. It was my first fight under boxing rules and I wasn't used to boxing but I thought I did a pretty good job to stand toe-to-toe with him. I'm the dude topless and Karam is wearing the shirt and jeans. Karam is 17 years old and 70kg (154lbs) and I am 17 years old and 75kg (165lbs). This fight was under Boxing rules (punches--no elbows, knees or kicks).

your punches are too wild and uneducated. an adequately trained boxer would set up his jab to establish the fight and feed you his strong straight or hook after that and you'd be eating punches all morning. you have no pivot to your punches, you use your arm strength more than your hips. stick to your taekwondo. go to a local boxing gym and try that on better trained boxers to get that boxing lesson you sincerely need and deserve.

You kids shouldn't be randomly fighting, unsupervised by adults, since by the looks of it there are only more kids in the place, no one with any responsibility. Apply to a boxing class or something. What you're doing is just foolish. No offense, it's just that you're not playing it safe.

haters shut up. young man is a 17yr old Tae Kwon Do practitioner in a boxing match. give the kid some props. he has the balls to do these matches and post them on the internet. dongkwan, i think you did quite well for being a TKD guy. You definetly won. I was expecting more of TKD style of boxing with more straights and trying to keep distance, but man, you just came in and winged it. also the back kick where you cracked your buddy Dion in the face was sweet. keep training. shut up you haters.

Dang. Karam got nailed at about 2:00. You did good but if it was a "real" fight you'd be in some trouble if you didn't KO him soon. Not that you weren't good; once you're tired you're in some trouble, don't care who you are. But, with the garage door acting as the final bell you definately won :)

how come the taekwondo guy throws more punches than the one in jeans? Boxing guy must suck to lose to some martial art that focuses more on kicks but uses punches alone to own him.

We like our safety lol. 16 ounce gloves are really good for sparring, plus they work your body so hard. Those who think its easy to spar with those gloves should think again.
