And guess what ... ( 9 months ago by Thatboyk)
And guess what happen to them afterward !!! i can't blame him for retiring Early. Hatton,Floyd and even Manny Pacquiao wants to retire because they know the result stayinging in the sport for a long time.
MOST feel it was a ... ( 9 months ago by masrock)
MOST feel it was a draw? No, no, no. Most MOSLEY fans feel it was a draw. Cotto won that fight.
Also, off topic, Paul Williams is unbeatable at 147. Cintron is your last hope because he has that all mighty power. He's a little too mentally submissive to get the job done, though. You'll see, probably this summer. Cotto would get TKO'd. Mayweather would get UD'd. It's not feasible for Paul Wil
liams to lose with the package he brings to every fight.
Well I do think ... ( 9 months ago by wxc85)
Well I do think Mayweather would get UD, Williams is not Corrales. Williams has a great jab and throws more punches, PBF would have to come forward.
But I think Cotto could get to him, b/c Cotto isn't afraid to eat some shots, and Williams doesn't have power. Cintron prolly can't win a decision his only chance is for KO. I agree he looked mentally weak against that bum Feliciano.
Theres a difference ... ( 9 months ago by DirkDigglerV3)
Theres a difference between what weights fighters WALK AROUND at and optimum FIGHTING WEIGHT. Ricky is a naturally small man with very short arms whos best fighting weight is 140. Mayweather has grown into his body over the years, he struggled desperately to make 130/135 coming up.
Very true. Fact is ... ( 9 months ago by DirkDigglerV3)
Very true. Fact is that Floyd did his job and it wasnt his fault that the ref was a joke. I wouldnt be complaining if Ricky had snuck in a few elbows and headbutts if he came away with the victory.

you said it all, see you all next year when Rick fights at the garden.

I agree with you on that....I would rank both of them higher because they fought better opposition...including each other

Biased commentary, bunch of fools have to say you two are
You don't give ... ( 9 months ago by deeawhite)
You don't give Hatton rounds for being the "so-called" aggressor just because Floyd's very comfortable fighting off the ropes and going backwards.
It doesn't matter that a guy is on the ropes if he's blocking the other guys punches and landing his own.
Hatton wasn't landing and Floyd was. It doesn't matter if it "looks" like a guy is TRYING to be aggressive if he can't land.
You guys need to recognize that Floyd's style is to block, defend and land punches. On the ropes or not.
Why mention Cintron ... ( 9 months ago by BelieveInMrGrieves)
Why mention Cintron and Margarito as part of the best of the division? Beating those two wouldn't mean anything. There is a big 3 in the WW Division right now. Floyd, Miguel and Paul. Nobody else matters. And nobody but Miguel and Paul should even be on Floyd's radar.
Well I'm not a ... ( 9 months ago by Gorguruga)
Well I'm not a Cotto or a Mosley fan, I'm impartial, but in my opinion after watching the fight twice I would have to say it wasn't a draw - Mosley won the fight by one round plain and simple.
Floyd is AFRAID of ... ( 8 months ago by DannySMF)
Floyd is AFRAID of Margarito, Cotto and Williams. Floyd is a fraud and a joke. The dirtiest fighter in the business.
do you guys know ... ( 7 months ago by moneymay5)
do you guys know how to score a fight?>? hatton didnt land any clean punches in round 6 and 7 so how could you give those orunds to him??? wow
floyds career is ... ( 7 months ago by shammi13)
floyds career is near an end - he has fought the best from HIS era. cotto is from the new era, not his. otherwise there will be another new person next year who is young, and every one is saying that he floyd is ducking him, when he is not because he is from a different generation of fighters. floyd has fought the best from his era, that is why he is p4p best.

Where's Paul ... ( 5 months ago by Thatman213)
Where's Paul Williams now? Exactly. Quintana beat him. Who knocked out Quintana? Cotto in round 5. =D
yes, but he ... ( 5 months ago by shammi13)
yes, but he shouldnt have to fight anymore to prove himself - cotto isnt attracting the numbers that mayweather is after - he wants the huge super fights. even tho peopl are saying they want to see a cotto fight, the mayweather camp only yesterday that they were not confident in cotts numbers-shown in his fight against alfonzo gomez.they want the big boys and i think that mayweather will fight cotto once he is more mainstream to the public - a household name, not just to people who know boxing.
Mainstream? Almost ... ( 5 months ago by Thatman213)
Mainstream? Almost everyone I know wants to see this fight happen, not just me. Cotto's got a whole fucking Island behind him so what the fuck are you talking about? What did Floyd do to prove that he's the greatest boxer in the world? Win a couple of belts and stay undefeated for about 40 fights? Come on, Chavez surpassed him with 88-0 before finally losing. Also he fought everyone that was put up to him. The way I see it is Floyd is gonna lose his spot for the p4p king unless he fights someone.
first of all lets ... ( 5 months ago by shammi13)
first of all lets not start fighting over this. just debate please - i wont start crap and neither should u... when i say mainstream i mean a celebrity - a household name. like de la hoya is - ask someone in japan who de la hoya is and they will know. they wont know who cotto is tho. check the boxing news - mayweather camp themselves have said that they dont want the fight untill the numbers stack up. and what do u mean "win a couple of belts" not just a couple - 6 titles in 5 weight classes.
Okay, since we're ... ( 5 months ago by Thatman213)
Okay, since we're gonna put it like that. Ask someone from Japan who Ricky Hatton is? Ask about Baldomir? Judah? Gatti maybe? Didn't think so. So Floyd's only gonna pick celeberties, huh? Well other than Oscar he can fight Brad Pitt, or maybe Wrestle alittle? =D Floyd hasn't fought a Welterweight since he beat Baldomir in 06. Yet he's still taking the credit for being the best welterweight in the world. Well in my eyes I see Cotto being p4p welterweight unless Mayweather proves otherwise.
