I asked for your ... ( 6 days ago by JFKConspiracy)
I asked for your list, not just where Ray is on the list.
Everyone say ... ( 6 days ago by Piglatinsuperstar)
Everyone say Robinson the best. I dont know but his resume say it is way better than Ray Leonard. Robinson got a lot more--alot more competition. Napoles do more and look beter than Leonard. by the time he lose title he is really really shot!!!! I never see anyone so shot. Cuevas better too than Leonard. Ray would never last 15 with prime Cuevas. That is 3 already. The fighters from the 20s and 30s better than ray too becuz they fight more and they in with better people, not jut one or two.
Napoles was good, ... ( 6 days ago by JFKConspiracy)
Napoles was good, tho I have no accounting for the first 10 or so years of his career when he prolly looked more impressive. Lets just say when finally got a title shot and won he didn't look as good as Leonard during the Hagler fight, infact he fights a lot like Hagler. So early career dunno, later career definitely Leonard is better. ...And tell me you didn't name Pipino Cuevas who Tommy Hearns knocked out in 2 rounds, the dude was only 8 years into his career. His career even started bad.
Cuevas wasn't a ... ( 6 days ago by JFKConspiracy)
Cuevas wasn't a good fighter till 74, and only stayed good till 80. Tommy beat him so bad he never recovered. Then again Tommy also did the same thing to Duran in 2 rounds, he kinda had the fix in for Hispanic fighters. I wouldn't be opposed to saying Hearns was better than Leonard...did have him beat in both those fights after all, just got unlucky. I rate Robinson as a Middleweight since most his career was there. Also, you shoulda named Emile Griffith, clearly better than your picks.
Jose look better ... ( 6 days ago by Piglatinsuperstar)
Jose look better than ray after waiting 11 yrs for title shot. jose look netter after 11 yrs than ray do after just 2 yrs. he fight harder, faster like he in a street fight. jose beat Griffith who got more championship experience and trounce every man who challenge him in title fights
you just looking at ... ( 6 days ago by Piglatinsuperstar)
you just looking at the downside of cuevas. everyone have a downside even roy jones have a downside. marvin hagler have a short downside but it is still a downside. ray robinson have a long slow downslide for 13 years
Record dont mean ... ( 6 days ago by Piglatinsuperstar)
Record dont mean nothing it just mean Pipino was not expertly or smartly guided the way hearns or leonard was. JC Chavez the best guided fighter i ever see.
once Pipino figure it out and go on his hot streak nothing can stop him no man can stop him--he crush every man put in front of him and turn them into tomato cans for Tommy hearns to build his record on. he is the best for 4 years. better than wilfred, palomino.
Pipino the hardest ... ( 6 days ago by Piglatinsuperstar)
Pipino the hardest hitting welterweight ever he break bones! all the time he do it. he break the speed bag off its mount at Gleasons. only George Foreman before he knock out Frazier at Jamaica.
He break Backus' eye socket and all kind of facial damage inside the 1st round in title fight. Even Napoles never do that. Napoles need 8 rounds of fierce non stop fighting to wear Backus down. Pipino take out everyone in a couple rounds, clyde GRay, Ranzany both in two, Espada in two.
Ray himself even ... ( 6 days ago by Piglatinsuperstar)
Ray himself even went around Pipino because he saw what he did to men. Pipino break the bones and spirits of men. he destroy their careers. He go for the safer wilfred. he dont have to worry about wilfreds attack he dont got none! Wilfred all he was is one of those defensive guys and ray could outspeed him easy. but he better not go near Pipino unless he want to retire permanently. he thought getting hit by willie fireball rodriguez was bad Angelo Dundee know that it be suicide to fight with him
look i am just ... ( 6 days ago by Piglatinsuperstar)
look i am just telling you the truth. pipino was too dangerous for Ray. he was a freak of nature the way Roy Jones was. I believe that Roy Jones was the most perfect fighter ever. He was the new Sugar Ray behind the old Sugar Ray.
Leonard the better all around fighter but Cuevas still hit way too hard for him
Robinson better at ... ( 6 days ago by Piglatinsuperstar)
Robinson better at 147 than at 160. he go 110 straight with 1 loss to a middleweight who he beat 5 other times and he not protected like Chavez! Leonard should not even be mentioned in same breath as Robinson. he beat the greatest welters ever and give them quick rematches then beat them again. he beat them convincingly too.
Griffith why should I pick Griffith? Napoles beat him easy. lightweight Duran jump 2 divisions and with 6 fights beats Leonard so you know Pipino & Cuevas would too
A) It doesn't ... ( 6 days ago by JFKConspiracy)
A) It doesn't matter that Robinson was better at 147, most of his fights were Middleweight therefore he's ranked as one, which he IS. That's not up for debate, it's a fact. Rating him as a welterweight is like rating Roy Jones as a middleweight. And if you did that, he'd have to be the greatest middleweight ever. B) Griffith was used up by the time of the Napoles fight. Unlike Napoles, Griffith was in there with killers from the beginning. Napoles fought cubans & mexicans for 10 years.
then he fought ... ( 6 days ago by Piglatinsuperstar)
then he fought americans and beat them and griffith too. If Griffith used up then how cum he go 15 with Monzon 4 yrs later and he give Carlos a tough one
Another thing, ... ( 6 days ago by JFKConspiracy)
Another thing, Duran was far superior to your "marquee welterweights". He beat Ray once, it was close, and Ray fought stupid to achieve it. Along with Griffith, I got some other Welterweights to put above them: Pernell Whitaker, Henry Armstrong, and Carmen Basilio.
Monzon was near the ... ( 6 days ago by JFKConspiracy)
Monzon was near the VERY END of his career, jesus christ do you have no concept of timelines?
You act like ... ( 6 days ago by Piglatinsuperstar)
You act like Robinson fight a few at welter like Duran and then take off. YOu could say same thing about Leonard he spent 4 years at 147 then spent the next 15 years at 154/160. Which is he then is he a welter or a middle?
Robinson also have 100+ there with 1 loss and no protection like chavez. then he make 6 defenses straight nobody can beat him. Leonard make 4 defenses total Robinson widely acknowldged as d greatest ever welterweight. this time i go with majority
Monzon and griffith ... ( 6 days ago by Piglatinsuperstar)
Monzon and griffith met in 71, one year after winning middleweight title and in 73. Monzon dfend his title for d last time in aug 77.
I know becuz i am a expert. and dont swear-it look bad
Look, since you're ... ( 6 days ago by JFKConspiracy)
Look, since you're a little slow let me try to explain again. When they determine what weight class to classify you, they add up the total fights you had in each weight class, in Leonard's case it's like 5 different weight classes to look at, but the one with the MOST fights, is welterweight. Which is why he's uhhh, ranked as one maybe? Look in any rating s books for Robinson, he's listed as Middleweight.
how is duran better ... ( 6 days ago by Piglatinsuperstar)
how is duran better if he only have 6 fights at welterweight? Maybe Ray leonard not really as good as you think! That is why I cant rate him all time like Ray Robinson and Cuevas
Duran is better cuz ... ( 6 days ago by JFKConspiracy)
Duran is better cuz he's Duran...a freak of nature itself. Him at any weight class would have beaten those guys at the weight classes they held in common, unless he didn't train. That aside, Monzon beat Griffith pretty badly each time, even if he managed to last a good while the first one. Monzon is also over rated, and the first fight with Griffith was like 1 of his last 10 times. Monzon & Griffith were washed up. Napoles never beats Griffith when Griffith was WW Champ.
why is duran a ... ( 6 days ago by Piglatinsuperstar)
why is duran a freak of nature and monzon is overrated? that is the first time i ever see that. something is wrong here!
hagler would not ... ( 6 days ago by pb8700538)
hagler would not have to move up in weight to fight bigger boxers. have you ever heard of middleweight stan ketchel vs. heavyweight jack johnson in the year 1909, you can watch that fight right here on youtube. know what your talking about before commenting. hagler did not move up because he was not stupid. the thing for a boxer is maintining his weight, gaining cost you stamina and losing drains the body energy.
moving up is not ... ( 6 days ago by Piglatinsuperstar)
moving up is not all that it is cracked up to be! look at Ray Leonard. he move all the way up and win 175 pound title then move back down to 154 and cant do shit
wat a fucken fight ... ( 3 days ago by XxbarnesxX)
