To bad the fight didn't live up to the hype. I have the whole PPV card on VHS tape. De La Hoya slaughtered some guy named Carl Griffith on the undercard. Funny how far Oscar has come since this fight, he fought on a James Toney undercard in '94 now he's the PPV king! lol!

People really underestimate this win Toney was number 2 pound for pound behind sweet pea and Jones took him apart i have no doubt in my mind that 1994-2000 Jones beats any fighter ever at super- Middleweight and Light Heavy Weight

Toney was weight-drained but Jones came out there and did what he had to do. He boxed brilliantly, stuck to a stick-and-move gameplan, but Toney looked sluggish and lethargic throughout, yes partly due to Jones' outmanuoevering him, but mostly due to leaving everything in the gym
